For Humanity Summit Volunteer Opportunity
We are happy to announce the
Biggest Volunteer Project in the station’s history! 91.3 The Summit is partnering
with Habitat for Humanity of Summit County to garner volunteers
and raise funds to build a home on Akron’s south side
in Firestone Park.
Volunteers for build days will
be needed from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. during the “Blitz
Week” on August 8, 9, and 12-16th and then on Wednesdays,
Fridays and Saturdays until the house is finished around
Thanksgiving time.
Building the house takes place
in scheduled 10 person work groups each day. You can put
your own work
group together (ages 16 or older) or volunteer as an
individual and you will be placed in a work group. All
building volunteers
and donations must be coordinated through the local Habitat
for Humanity office.
